Job Title: OUSW Financial Policy FMR Consultant Clearance Required: Secret Location: Hybrid (Mark Center in Alexandria, VA or Pentagon) About the Role: Biz. First is seeking a OUSW Financial Policy FMR Consultant to support a Department of War (DoW) customer with financial policy oversight and analytical support related to the DoW Financial Management Regulation (FMR).
The ideal candidate will bring senior-level expertise in financial policy interpretation, advanced analytics, and enterprise-level financial reporting environments, with the ability to influence outcomes across major initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead for managing OUSW financial policy FMR initiatives, providing technical and management leadership on major tasks and work assignments
- Establish goals and plans that align with project objectives and financial policy requirements
- Provide expert domain knowledge in the development of solutions, recommendations, and implementation outcomes
- Apply advanced data analytics to assess financial reporting accuracy and identify systemic issues
- Support and advise on FBwT-related policy interpretation and reconciliation implications
- Evaluate financial reporting risks and recommend corrective actions aligned with FMR guidance
- Direct activities of junior personnel and support staff as required
- Ensure policy decisions and analytical outcomes support overall project implementation success
- Provide leadership briefings and documentation supporting financial policy compliance efforts Required Qualifications:
- 12+ years of relevant experience in federal financial management or policy
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- Deep knowledge of DoW Financial Management Regulation (FMR)
- Advanced data analytics and financial data interpretation skills
- Experience providing senior-level technical leadership and decision support Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of War (OUSW) or other major DoW components
- CPA, CGFM, or CDFM certification preferred
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or financial systems such as DAI, DEAMS, GFEBS, DCAS, or similar
- Experience briefing senior leadership on financial policy matters Benefits Include:
