Oncology experience is not required. The priority is strong strategy consulting experience with the ability to drive cross-functional initiatives in a complex organization. A global pharmaceutical leader is seeking a Strategic Initiatives Lead to drive mid- to long-term business growth within its Oncology Business Unit.
This highly visible role reports to the Head of Business Strategy & Operations and offers the opportunity to shape strategic priorities, oversee cross-functional initiatives, and build organizational capabilities in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development of the mid- to long-term vision and strategy for the Oncology BU. Translate strategic priorities into actionable projects and ensure organizational alignment. Lead cross-functional initiatives as PMO, driving execution of high-priority programs. Provide strategic oversight, coaching, and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
Strengthen organizational capabilities by sharing best practices, frameworks, and insights. Foster communication and alignment across senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Requirements Bachelor’s degree required (Science or MBA background preferred). 5+ years’ experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or transformation projects (pharma/life sciences experience a plus, but not required). Strong track record of stakeholder management, cross-functional leadership, and PMO execution.
Native/advanced business Japanese and business English required. Preferred Experience Experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare industry. Background in oncology strategy, commercial, or medical affairs is an advantage but not essential.
