Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time, in-person Teacher of the Visually Impaired for the 2026-2027 school year to support students in Aurora, CO. In this role, you will provide direct services, consultation, and collaboration to help students with visual impairments access their curriculum and school environment successfully.

Why Join Us Competitive hourly pay (Up to $60/hour) + Steady school-year schedule W-2 employment with liability insurance included Supportive and collaborative team environment Reimbursement for licensure and professional expenses What You’ll Do Provide direct TVI and Orientation & Mobility services to students Collaborate with IEP teams, teachers, related service providers, and families Support accommodations and accessible educational materials Assist with Braille instruction, assistive technology, and visual access strategies as needed Support student mobility, navigation, and orientation skills across educational environments Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary collaboration Maintain timely documentation and compliance records What We’re Looking For Active Colorado CDE certification with Teacher of the Visually Impaired endorsement required Master’s degree or higher in Special Education, Visual Impairment, or a related field from an accredited institution Orientation and Mobility (O&M) certification preferred, not required Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Passion for supporting students with visual impairments in school-based settings About Ampersand Therapy Ampersand Therapy is a women- and therapist-operated company built by providers who understand school-based work.
