Job description
Primary Purpose of the Job Maintain communication with shipping department to ensure compatibility of the vessels for the intended destination when diverted from original. Manage with minimum assistance In/Out-Charter of Qatar. Energy vessels, Chemical Tankers, to maximize Shareholders revenue. Formulate Memorandums associated with each In/Out-Charter activity and obtain all necessary Functional Endorsements.
Maintain excellent communication with Allocation & Planning to ensure all Qatar. Energy LNG vessels are utilized in an optimal fashion. Participate in the Annual Marketing Strategy by providing insights on the Shipping Market. Work closely with Shipping department to ensure compatibility of the vessels for the intended destination when diverted from original.
Carry out comprehensive cost impact analysis in coordination with Economic Evaluation Department to minimize the shipping costs and provide recommendations to Managers. Establish good communication with Shipowners, Brokers and other participants of LNG Shipping market to maintain full awareness of situation and future trends.
Develop and maintain business procedures, controls and guidelines applicable to the department. Participate in LNG Optimization Meetings to identify optimum shipping solutions for new and existing sales. Identify opportunities to utilize Qatar. Energy and other JV controlled shipping for Short Term marketing. Required Experience and Skills Knowledge and/or Experience 5 years professional experience in commercial and shipping or marketing role in the hydrocarbon industry.
In-depth understanding of global LNG shipping market & LNG value chain. Technical and Business Skills Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to develop and present formal presentations to internal, external and senior management audiences. High levels of computer proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Competent in Economic Modelling, Gas and LNG Supply / Demand Fundamentals and Developing Speeches and Presentations. Educational Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent. Knowledge and/or Experience 5 years professional experience in commercial and shipping or marketing role in the hydrocarbon industry.
