Patient Care Assistant - Emergency Department

Patient care assistant helps maintain Olmsted Medical Center’s service and performance. This position supports nursing staff in the delivery of patient care services and is under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Duties include, but are not limited to, obtaining vital signs, assisting with procedures, lab collection, restocking the unit, and room turnover.

Patient care assistants must have excellent communication skills in order to serve as this vital link between clinicians, nursing staff, various departments, patients, and visitors. They must possess a pleasant and professional disposition in dealing with the public.
