Job Description: As an EU External Manufacturing Strategic Sourcing Manager at Mars you will manage critical sourcing categories and supplier relationships at a regional level. The primary focus will be on strategy creation/planning, and execution to deliver long term competitive advantage by maximizing value for money and protecting the business.
You will also manage regional initiatives by leveraging supplier relationships and strategic partnerships to drive standardization across both regions and segments. What are we looking for? 8+ years of procurement experience with strategic supplier management. Proven capabilities in Prime or External Manufacturing category management.
A passion for driving value for our business by leveraging various sourcing channels. Strong analytical mind combined with strategic vision and excellent stakeholder management. Bachelors degree at a minimum. What will be your key responsibilities? You will develop and execute sourcing strategies using the Mars framework and the appropriate tools for the market category.
Actively participate as a member of the External Manufacturing Team and establishes/maintains working relationships with the category operational buying managers in the region. Lead supplier relationship management process for a portfolio of suppliers including key segment partners Develop and implement regional/global contracts and related Service Level Agreements including securing price, volume rebates, capacity, and service levels.
