Summary: The Grant Writer plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission by identifying and pursuing funding opportunities from foundations, government agencies, corporations, and multilateral institutions. This position involves researching prospective donors, crafting compelling and tailored grant proposals, concept notes, budgets, and supporting documentation that clearly articulate program goals, impact metrics, and organizational capacity.
The Grant Writer ensures all submissions align with donor priorities and compliance requirements, translating complex initiatives into persuasive narratives that drive funding success. By maintaining strong donor relationships, supporting post-award reporting, and contributing to strategic fundraising planning, the Grant Writer helps secure sustainable funding that enables the delivery of high-impact programs.
Responsibilities
Research and identify potential funding opportunities from foundations, government agencies, corporations, and multilateral organizations Draft and finalize high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, letters of inquiry, and donor reports Develop accurate and compliant budgets and supporting documentation for funding applications Coordinate internal proposal review processes and ensure timely submission of all materials Maintain and strengthen relationships with current and prospective donors and funding partners Support post-award documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting requirements Contribute to the development of fundraising strategies and pipeline management initiatives
