Location: Västerås, Sweden (100% On-site) Employment Type: Full-time Consultant Assignment Assignment period: 05 Oct 2026 - 04 Oct 2027 Apply Before: 07 Aug 2026 About the Role We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for an experienced Senior Production Engineer to support the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing and assembly operations.

In this role, you will work closely with production teams, line managers, technicians, and operators to improve manufacturing processes, optimize assembly methods, and ensure high standards of quality, safety, and delivery performance. You will play a key role in driving process improvements, supporting production activities, and implementing engineering solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in production engineering, lean manufacturing, and assembly process development who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Production Engineering Develop and improve assembly methods and manufacturing processes. Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and PFMEA. Ensure production stations are equipped with the appropriate tools and equipment. Support production teams in solving technical and manufacturing-related issues.

Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Participate in problem-solving activities to improve quality, productivity, and delivery performance. Manufacturing Support Collaborate closely with line technicians, operators, and production managers. Participate in weekly planning and coordination meetings with production and support teams.

Support production during operational challenges and provide timely engineering assistance. Drive improvements in manufacturing efficiency and workflow. Continuous Improvement Apply Lean Manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing principles. Improve production processes, assembly methods, and operational standards. Support initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Contribute to the ongoing development of manufacturing best practices.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Production Engineer within manufacturing or assembly environments. Master's degree in Production Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Experience developing and improving assembly processes and production methods. Good knowledge of ERP systems.

Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles. Experience working with PFMEA and manufacturing documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with production teams and cross-functional stakeholders. Fluent English, both written and spoken.
