POSITION SUMMARY
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced R&D environment to help develop, validate, and scale electrocatalysts for Voya’s proprietary metal-air fuel cell.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop improved electrolytes to improve the power and minimize corrosion for Voya’s metal-air fuel cells.
- Identify structure-property relationships and translate to improved electrolyte designs.
- Design analytical tests and methods to identify mechanisms to feed understanding back into the electrolyte experimental designs.
- Work with Voya’s engineering and production teams to scale and demonstrate new electrolytes from lab to pilot and production-intent systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven ability to invent and advance novel chemistries from concept to validation, preferably in energy storage/generation applications.
- Experience with the development of electrolytes for electrochemical systems (e.g. fuel cells, batteries, electrolyzers).
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Results-oriented with a strong sense urgency.
