Job description
The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a respected healthcare organization in Manchester, TN, to recruit a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist to join its Surgery Department. In this role, you'll assist surgeons and the surgical team before, during, and after surgical procedures while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and sterile operating room environment.
Schedule: PRN |Days | Future on-call availability for evenings and weekends may be required What You'll Do Prepare and maintain sterile operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures Maintain sterile technique and infection prevention standards Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts with the circulating nurse Clean, restock, and prepare operating rooms between procedures Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and report any issues Handle and label surgical specimens according to established protocols What We Are Looking For Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program Current BLS certification or ability to obtain Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred Additional Requirements Knowledge of sterile technique, aseptic practices, and infection prevention Ability to prepare, maintain, and troubleshoot surgical instruments and equipment Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and work effectively in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work PRN hours and participate in future on-call coverage as needed If you're a dependable Surgical Technologist who takes pride in precision, teamwork, and delivering quality surgical support, we encourage you to apply and become part of a team dedicated to outstanding patient care.
