Job description

As part of its transformation journey, Generali launched Generali Core Tech a new Group software factory. Generali Core Tech will focus on managing and further developing Insurance in a Box (IIAB), the centralized and shared platform for Life and P&C businesses, with the goal of expanding the implementation of the program—already active in Spain and Switzerland and currently being extended to Portugal, Hungary, Slovenia, and Croatia. Since its launch, IIAB has played a key role in strengthening the Group’s technological agility and in generating economies of scale and scope across the entire insurance value chain.

The initial scope of the project will cover approximately 15 million policies at Group level.

We are looking for a ** Senior Technical Team Leader ** to design, build and lead an AI-first software factory, where artificial intelligence is the primary engine for software development, integrated with human expertise for validation, governance and continuous improvement.

The role combines technical leadership, system design and operational execution, with the objective of redefining how software is produced in terms of efficiency, scalability and quality.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement the AI-first Software Factory Design and an AI-driven software development model
  • Define the operating model, workflows and governance
  • Integrate AI tools into the development lifecycle
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentoring a team of developers and AI engineers while ensuring full alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards
  • Drive AI engineering and innovation by optimizing AI coding systems, evaluating and integrating emerging AI technologies, and defining best practices for effective human–AI collaboration
  • Ensure high‑quality and timely software delivery by optimizing processes for cost efficiency, scalability and quality, while monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement
  • Collaborate effectively with business and IT stakeholders to support AI‑driven transformation initiatives across the organization
