Job description
Installation & Maintenance Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, systems, and equipment. Conduct routine inspection and testing of electrical systems. Install lighting fixtures, power outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and distribution boards. Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Troubleshooting & Repairs Diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices and tools.
Repair or replace faulty wiring, components, and equipment. Respond to electrical emergencies and breakdowns promptly. Compliance & Safety Ensure all electrical installations comply with local regulations and safety codes. Maintain safe working practices and adhere to company health and safety procedures. Test electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety.
Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed. Report equipment issues, risks, and improvement opportunities. Assist in preparing maintenance schedules and inventory lists. Qualification and Skills Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering or related field. Valid electrician license/certification (as required by local regulations).
Additional training in industrial or commercial electrical work is an advantage. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring regulations, and electrical codes. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints. Proficient in using electrical testing tools and equipment.
