Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess Agriculture Science lessons in accordance with the national curriculum and school standards. Design and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons that blend theory with practical application. Organize and supervise practical sessions, including school farm operations, laboratory experiments, and field studies, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene protocols.
Conduct regular assessments through practical evaluations, assignments, projects, and formal examinations, providing constructive feedback to support student growth. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including lesson plans, schemes of work, attendance logs, continuous assessment (CA) data, and student progress reports.
Promote sustainable agricultural practices, environmental conservation, and responsible resource management within the curriculum and school activities. Create a supportive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment that encourages active participation, respect, and academic excellence. Uphold student safety and safeguarding policies during all instructional and practical activities.
Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and school leadership to support student development and enhance the quality of agricultural education. Engage in professional development, attend training sessions, and contribute to school-wide initiatives as required.
