Job description

Job Title: Chemical Dependency Aide Department: Inpatient Addiction Recovery Services Location: 20 Cottage Street; Potsdam, NY 13676 Hours Per Week: 37.5 Schedule: 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. including every other weekend SUMMARY: This position requires someone with compassion for those in early recovery from addiction. The successful candidate will be a role model, will help participants learn and put into practice healthy coping skills, will demonstrate sober activities, assist nursing as requested (retrieve patients, get supplies, monitor milieu, etc.)

The successful candidate will have the ability to set and enforce boundaries for self and the group.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. (50%) Supervise patients, including coordination of activities, meals and ADL’s. 2. (25%) Clerical functions and ordering. 3. (15%) Transport urines, register patients, accompany patients to appointments. 4. (10%) Documentation

  • Sedentary Work
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. PAY RANGE

$18.46 - $26.24 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
