Job description

The Role: Due to continued expansion, Ashgrove Renewables, an SEAI registered One Stop Shop, now has a vacancy for an experienced Home Energy Upgrade Grants Advisor. As a Home Upgrade Grants Advisor, you'll be the first impression of Ashgrove Renewables for homeowners beginning their energy upgrade journey. This is a fast-paced, full-time, office-based role where your organisation, communication and customer service skills will play a vital part in delivering an outstanding customer experience from day one.

Working closely with our Technical Sales team, you'll coordinate appointments, and guide homeowners through the early stages of the process. As the first point of contact, you'll be confident communicating by phone and email, able to build rapport quickly, and skilled at juggling multiple priorities while ensuring every customer feels informed and supported.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities Answer inbound phone calls from homeowners and industry professionals. Advise customers on how to begin their home energy upgrade journey. Explain available grants, eligibility criteria, and the application process in a clear and accessible way. Working closely with industry professionals such as BER assessors, Builders, Architects etc.

Guide callers on next steps, including internal handovers to relevant teams. Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring customers feel informed and supported. Accurately log customer information, and outcomes in internal systems. Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer journey. Stay up to date with changes to grants, energy upgrade offerings, and internal processes.

Skills & Experience Strong communication and phone-based customer service skills. Ability to explain technical or process-driven information in simple terms. Organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple enquiries. Confident using CRM systems or internal databases (training provided). Interest in renewable energy, sustainability, or home energy efficiency (desirable).

Previous experience in customer service, advisory, call handling, or similar roles is an advantage. Fluent English.
