Stage and Talend Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes. In this role, you will support enterprise data integration, data warehousing, and business intelligence initiatives. You will work with large, complex datasets to ensure efficient, secure, and accurate data movement, transformation, and high-quality data availability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- ETL/ELT Development & Processing Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-performing ETL/ELT jobs using IBM Data. Stage and Talend. Build modular, reusable components and frameworks for scalable data integration pipelines. Extract, transform, and load structured and semi-structured data from diverse sources including relational databases, APIs, flat files, and cloud environments. Implement strict data validation, cleansing, and complex business transformation rules.
- Data Warehouse Architecture & Support Apply core data warehousing concepts, including design and maintenance of Star Schemas, Snowflake Schemas, and Fact/Dimension tables. Support data marts and downstream enterprise reporting systems to ensure timely data availability for Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
- Performance Tuning & Optimization Analyze ETL job performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize workflows to handle large data volumes efficiently. Proactively debug, troubleshoot, and resolve ETL job failures in production and non-production environments.
- Collaboration & Governance Work within an Agile/Scrum framework, participating actively in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Partner with Business Analysts, Data Architects, and fellow Developers to translate data requirements into optimized technical solutions. Document technical ETL workflows, source-to-target data mappings, and system processes. Ensure all data movements strictly adhere to enterprise data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Required Skills
& Qualifications Core Technical Expertise IBM Data. Stage: Strong development experience utilizing both Parallel Jobs and Server Jobs. Talend: Practical experience with Talend Open Studio and/or Talend Data Integration tools. Database & SQL: Advanced SQL knowledge across major enterprise relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, IBM DB2).
Data Modeling: Solid foundational understanding of relational data modeling and data warehousing methodologies. Operating Systems & Scripting Unix/Linux: Hands-on experience writing and executing Shell scripts (sh, bash) for automation and process scheduling.
