Restaurant Manager | Luxury Wine Estate | Franschhoek Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Restaurant Manager for a luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for fine dining service to take full responsibility for the smooth running of a high-end restaurant operation within a prestigious estate environment.

Package

• Salary: R18,000 – R20,000 per month DOE
• Opportunity to work within a luxury hospitality and wine estate environment The Role The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, high service standards and efficient day-to-day management. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, guest-focused and capable of leading a motivated front-of-house team.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure seamless service delivery
• Lead, train and motivate front-of-house staff
• Maintain high standards of service, presentation and guest satisfaction
• Manage reservations, seating plans and guest flow
• Handle guest queries, feedback and complaints professionally
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards
• Monitor stock levels, ordering and cost control
• Assist with menu planning input and coordination with kitchen teams
• Conduct staff scheduling, training and performance management
• Drive a strong guest-centric and service-driven culture
• Ensure accurate cash-ups, reporting and administrative duties Requirements
• Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or Senior Supervisor within a luxury or fine dining environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent guest relations and communication abilities
• Solid understanding of food and beverage operations
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems
