Job description

We are looking for a Branch Coordinator to join our dynamic team at MC Design. The Branch Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring that facilities, assets, fleet, stores, and administrative functions are effectively managed to support operational and project requirements.

The role includes overseeing branch resources, coordinating maintenance and logistics activities, supporting SHEQ compliance, supervising branch support staff, and ensuring the branch remains organised, efficient, and client-ready at all times. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting project delivery by ensuring the availability of equipment, vehicles, tools, materials, and facilities, while also assisting with contractor and supplier coordination, cost control, and branch administration.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the branch. Main Responsibilities:

  1. Branch Operations & Facilities Coordination Coordinate the effective operation and maintenance of branch facilities, infrastructure, workshop areas, and operational support systems to ensure a safe and productive working environment.
  2. Asset, Equipment & Fleet Coordination Oversee the control, maintenance, and readiness of company assets, vehicles, tools, equipment, and operational resources.
  3. Stores & Inventory Coordination Manage inventory control, stock availability, storage systems, and accountability of consumables and operational materials.
  4. SHEQ & Compliance Support Support branch compliance with company standards, SHEQ requirements, and applicable legislation while promoting continuous improvement initiatives.
  5. Operational & Project Support Provide branch-based operational support to project teams by coordinating the availability of facilities, equipment, logistics, and resources required for successful project execution.
  6. Administration & Cost Control Assist with branch administration, service provider coordination, reporting, budgeting, and operational cost management.
  7. Business Development Support Maintain a professional and client-ready branch environment and support client visits, audits, and business development activities.
  8. Team Coordination & Leadership Coordinate and support Stores, Workshop, and General Support Staff, ensuring effective resource allocation, communication, performance, and teamwork.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant qualification in Operations Management, Facilities Management, Business Management, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in branch operations, facilities, logistics, maintenance, workshop, or operational support environments.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory, coordinating, or leadership role.
  • Valid Code B Driver's Licence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working within ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 environments advantageous. SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND BEHAVIOUR
