Job description
Senior UX/UI Designer Location: Montreal (100% On-site) Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage user experience research activities that respond to project and audience priorities: Plan, conduct, analyze, and report on qualitative and quantitative usability studies. Conduct or oversee research reviews, competitor reviews, and benchmarking exercises to uncover applicable insights for projects. Lead the creation of research artefacts like information architectures, journey maps, storyboards, and data visualizations.
- Define and execute Client's digital brand experience: Establish how clients' refreshed brand identity will be supported and communicated across digital touchpoints. Create or oversee creation of wireframes, mockups, and clickable prototypes that respond to user research, brand identity, and project requirements. Plan and execute strategic enhancements to Client's centralized site building platform and digital design system.
- Translate research findings into actionable insights Translate research findings into actionable insights that can be applied by designers, developers, team leads, and stakeholders.
- Act as a user advocate and subject matter expert Help identify and exploit opportunities to improve user experience. Skills and Experience Strong expertise in user research methodologies (e.g., usability testing, interviews, surveys, visual preference testing, diary studies, and contextual inquiry). Expert proficiency in digital design software such as Sketch (preferred), Figma, or Adobe XD. Experience managing digital brand experience in a decentralized environment, delivering UX/UI design for complex applications, and/or managing design systems. Demonstrated ability to uncover deep insights and formulate concrete recommendations for design, development, and stakeholder teams. Ability to educate and collaborate with other teams to apply user-focused design principles across disciplines. Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. 5+ years of related experience.
