Job Responsibilities

Progress Lead the execution of ISO 26262 and/or ISO 21448 (SOTIF) activities for Battery/Powertrain and/or ADAS L2 and L2+ functions across the product lifecycle, from concept to SOP. Drive the completion of HARA, FTA, FMEA, DFA, STPA, and related safety analyses for Battery/Powertrain modules and/or ADAS features within committed timelines.

Track development progress and align safety deliverables with system, hardware, and software engineering schedules. Support internal and international supplier teams in the implementation of safety mechanisms and ensure effectiveness is validated per schedule. Quality For Battery/Powertrain and/or ADAS systems, define and refine FSC, derive FSR, review TSC/TSR of supplier.

Review and validate safety architecture across disciplines (system, hardware, software) to ensure full traceability and consistency. Support Verification & Validation planning and execution for safety mechanisms and safety requirements (Safety V&V). Collaborate with certification bodies and prepare safety documentation for assessments and audits, both internal and external.

Organize and lead internal Fu. Sa meetings, technical reviews, and participate in cross-functional reviews as safety expert. Cost & Efficiency Promote reuse of safety concepts and templates to reduce development effort and ensure harmonization. Contribute to internal capability building through mentoring, technical knowledge sharing, and process refinement.

Support optimization of safety development processes through toolchain improvements (e.g., Code. Beamer, JIRA). Ensure early identification of safety-related issues to minimize risk of costly late-phase changes or certification gaps. Work closely with engineering and quality teams to streamline workflows and ensure delivery without delay or rework Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

4–6 years of experience in functional safety engineering, ideally in Battery/Powertrain components and/or ADAS features. Solid knowledge of ISO 26262 and familiarity with ISO 21448 (SOTIF). Hands-on experience with safety analysis methods (HARA, FMEA, FTA, DFA, STPA). Proficiency with safety tools (e.g., Code. Beamer, JIRA) and documentation standards.

Strong understanding of system, hardware, and software safety architectures. Good collaboration skills to work with internal teams and international suppliers. Proactive and structured working style; ability to identify risks early and propose solutions. Excellent communication skills in English; capable of clear technical reporting.

Certification in ISO 26262 and international project experience are considered a plus. Preferred: Experience with Battery systems, e. Bus development or Vehicle Motion Control (VMC) Fu. Sa will be a strong advantage.
