Position Details Location: Onsite, Wilmington, Ohio Schedule: School-day hours (aligned with student schedules) and virtual services during the summer.
Employment Type: 1099 (Independent Contractor) with W2 options available Availability:Full-time or part-time roles available This is an on campus Therapist role, supporting students and their families. You’ll be supported by clear workflows, structured onboarding, and dedicated internal support. The services are provided virtually during summer.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities Provide evidence-based individual therapy, group sessions, and crisis interventions Conduct intakes, mental health assessments, and treatment planning Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team—including care coordinators, school counselors, behavioral specialists, and prescribers Deliver services to both students and, when appropriate, their families Ensure documentation meets clinical and insurance billing requirements Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation within Hello.
Hero’s EMR Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field and/or Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field Hold an active license in Ohio (e.g., LPC, LSW, LMSW, LMFT) Dependent and Independent licenses accepted Valid malpractice insurance Experience working with children, adolescents, and families Familiarity with trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and school-based mental health Reliable transportation (for in-person roles) Scheduling Services are delivered during standard school hours (typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) Scheduling is aligned with student availability Structured caseloads and scheduling support Requirements Active Ohio license 1 year minimum experience preferred Comfortable using technology for virtual service delivery, including online platforms and documentation systems Reliable internet connection and access to appropriate technology for virtual service delivery Benefits Compensation & Pay Structure 1099 Contractor and W2 Options available Salaried W2: $55,000-85,000 OR Contractor/Hourly Rate: $30-50/hour Paid training at $20/hour, which includes onboarding, platform training, school-specific training, and supervision time Opportunity for Year-End Bonus Why Our Roles Are Different Clear expectations – Defined workflows and documentation standards Real support – Dedicated team supports you day-to-day, along with structured onboarding and consistent, responsive communication Access to assessment tools and resources – Supporting evaluation and reporting so you’re not sourcing or managing materials on your own Peer support – Access to internal, discipline-specific chat channels for real-time collaboration, questions, and shared resources Fair compensation – You’re paid a daily rate to ensure stability Flexibility – Choose to work as a Hello.
