OVERVIEW
The Facilities Generalist for The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is a member of the facility operations team. The generalist performs building/exhibit maintenance, participates in event set-up and take-down, and assists with general cleaning and care of the building and grounds. The incumbent plays a first tier role and is responsible for building maintenance and upkeep.
The facility operations team utilizes a tiered, shared resources based facilities management approach rooted in cross-training and teamwork. The generalist is afforded opportunities to learn and practice a variety of skills and trades, with the potential for growth through added responsibilities and increased knowledge-base, budget and time permitting.
