Delta Air Lines is seeking a Lead Foundry Solutions Engineer to lead complex analytics, resource planning, and digital transformation initiatives. This role serves as a technical and project leader responsible for designing scalable Foundry solutions that enable advanced maintenance, reliability, operational, engineering, and workforce planning insights across Delta's fleet and Tech.

Ops organization. The role serves as a lead on the Resource Planning & Operational Solutions team within the Tech. Ops Business Performance Office. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for developing and scaling Tech. Ops' enterprise resource planning capability and decision-support hub, enabling workforce forecasting, capacity planning, operational readiness, and data-driven decision making.

This individual will also lead solution design and delivery for high-impact operational use cases across Tech. Ops. The Lead Engineer drives the end-to-end delivery of strategic analytics products and planning solutions by partnering with engineering, maintenance, operations, workforce planning, finance, and technology stakeholders.

This individual translates complex business challenges into scalable decision-support platforms, establishes technical direction for Foundry applications and data models, and leads cross-functional teams to deliver measurable operational and financial value. As a Lead Foundry Solutions Engineer, you will: + Lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale analytics applications and solutions within the Palantir Foundry ecosystem + Lead the development and evolution of enterprise resource planning, workforce forecasting, and capacity planning capabilities that support strategic and operational decision-making across Tech.

Ops + Serve as the technical lead for strategic initiatives, driving project execution from concept through implementation and adoption + Architect and optimize complex data pipelines, integrations, Ontology models, and application workflows that support maintenance and operational decision-making + Partner with engineering, maintenance, operations, workforce planning, finance, and technology leaders to develop data-driven solutions that improve aircraft reliability, operational performance, workforce effectiveness, resource utilization, and strategic planning outcomes + Evaluate and implement advanced analytics, AI/ML, automation, and application capabilities within Foundry to solve complex operational challenges + Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders without direct managerial authority + Provide technical leadership and guidance on Foundry best practices, data architecture, application design, and platform governance + Drive the development of scalable Workshop applications, operational dashboards, and decision-support tools that enable actionable insights + Establish standards for data quality, system reliability, maintainability, documentation, and solution performance + Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and architecture assessments to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and long-term supportability + Influence strategic decisions through analytical findings, business cases, and executive-level recommendations + Lead continuous improvement efforts focused on automation, platform optimization, technical debt reduction, and process transformation + Mentor and provide technical coaching to junior and mid-level team members while fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience) + 7+ years of experience developing analytics, data engineering, software engineering, or enterprise data solutions + Advanced experience with SQL and Python in production environments + Demonstrated expertise building applications and solutions within Palantir Foundry (or similar platforms), including Workshop, Ontology, Pipeline Builder, and data integration frameworks + Experience leading complex cross-functional projects and delivering analytics solutions with enterprise-scale impact + Experience building forecasting, planning, scheduling, optimization, or decision-support solutions for complex operational environments + Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT development, enterprise integration patterns, and system design principles + Experience translating ambiguous business needs into technical requirements and actionable solution roadmaps + Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership + Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and project leadership skills + Proven ability to influence outcomes and drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups + Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, andpersonal data.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) + Extensive experience delivering enterprise solutions using Palantir Foundry in operational, engineering, maintenance, or transportation environments + Experience leading large-scale analytics, digital transformation, or operational optimization initiatives + Experience developing workforce planning, capacity planning, labor forecasting, or resource optimization models + Experience in aviation, airline operations, MRO, fleet management, or other highly regulated operational environments + Experience supporting operational planning, maintenance planning, crew planning, supply chain planning, or other large-scale resource management functions + Experience leveraging simulation, optimization, scenario modeling, or advanced forecasting techniques to support strategic decision-making + Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures and services (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP) + Experience integrating AI/ML models into operational workflows and decision-support applications + Proficiency with TypeScript, JavaScript, API development, and modern application frameworks + Experience with predictive maintenance, reliability engineering, fleet operations, or aviation analytics + Familiarity with data governance, master data management, and enterprise data strategy + Experience presenting recommendations, project outcomes, and technical strategies to executive leadership + Demonstrated success driving adoption of analytics solutions and delivering measurable business value through technology innovation Benefits and Perks to Help You Keep Climbing Our culture is rooted in a shared dedication to living our values – Care, Integrity, Resilience and Servant Leadership – every day, in everything we do.
