Job description

🎉 WHAT WILL YOU BE WORKING ON? 💯 IN THIS ROLE, HERE ARE THE THINGS YOU WOULD BE WORKING ON: (1) Own the deployment and pipelines.

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across all services, ensuring fast, reliable, and repeatable deployments.
  • Manage infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Cloud. Formation or equivalent) for provisioning, scaling, and version-controlling environments.
  • Standardize deployment practices across dev, staging, and production, including rollback strategies, blue-green/canary releases, and zero-downtime deployments.
  • Be the primary point of accountability for pipeline health, build times, and deployment failures, triage and fix, not just flag. (2) Ensure SLAs Are Met
  • Define, track, and report on SLIs/SLOs for critical services; own the error-budget conversation with engineering teams.
  • Build dashboards and alerting that catch SLA breaches before customers do.
  • Lead incident response for infrastructure and deployment issues, driving root-cause analysis and post-mortems.
  • Partner with architects and engineering leads to find single points of failure and improve system resilience. (3) Monitor cost and reduce
  • Set up cost visibility dashboards across cloud infrastructure (compute, storage, data pipelines) and flag anomalies proactively.
  • Run regular cost audits to identify waste and idle resources, oversized instances, redundant environments.
  • Implement rightsizing, reserved instance/savings plan strategies, and autoscaling policies to cut spend without hurting performance.
  • Own a cost-reduction roadmap with measurable targets and report savings back to the team. (4) Automate Observability & Ops
  • Build and maintain the monitoring, logging, and alerting stack (e.g., Prometheus/Grafana, ELK) across all environments.
  • Automate routine ops work, health checks, scaling, backups, certificate renewals to cut manual intervention.
  • Create self-service tooling and runbooks so engineering teams can diagnose and resolve common issues without escalating.
  • Continuously expand observability coverage as new services and data sources come 🪄 QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART: - 2+ years of hands-on infrastructure experience on cloud, CI/CD, or systems engineering.
  • A true problem solver: you care as much about understanding how things work under the hood as you do about building them.
  • First-principles thinker who enjoys taking things apart, literally and figuratively, to make them more resilient.
  • High ownership, dependable, accountable, and comfortable being the person who sees things through end to end.
  • Proactive and self-directed; you work well independently and step up to lead when the situation calls for it.
  • Hands-on experience with both AWS and GCP. 👯 WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN OUR TEAM MEMBERS? While there is no stencil for the type of people we like, there are a few traits that might make Reo.Dev http://Reo.Dev a better fit for you. Reo might be a good fit if you:
