• Critical Care Job Type: Travel Location: Atlanta, Georgia Facility: Northside Hospital Atlanta Health System: Northside Coverage Period: Jul 01, 2026 – Dec 31, 2026 Shift Schedule: Nights, 7p – 7:30a Hours Per Shift: 12 Shifts Per Week: 3 Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 10-15 ICU patients per APP (with attending MD) Case Mix: Critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting Rounding: Yes, multi-disciplinary rounds each shift FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner Specialty Backup Available: Yes, attending physician available Support Staff Available: RNs, ICU nursing staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths, introducers) Arterial line insertions JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Acute Care Certified (ACNP) required for NP candidates; PA must have valid national certification Licenses: Active Georgia state license required (local candidate preferred) Experience: Minimum 1-2 years as an APP in an ICU setting Other Qualifications: Case logs for central and arterial line procedures may be required for credentialing DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting Collaborate with attending physicians on plan of care and communicate dynamic changes Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions Complete order entry and documentation (H&Ps, Consults, Event/Follow-up Notes, Procedure Notes) using Cerner EMR Perform invasive procedures including central and arterial line insertions
