Position: Intern - Purchasing
Duration: full-time. 6 months or longer
Location: Munich
Starting date: August 2026
We are looking for a highly motivated Purchasing Intern to join our dynamic team at AVATR Global Design Center. In this role, you will support our Purchasing department in strengthening and supporting our purchasing operations.
** What you will do: **
- Order Processing: Oversee the purchasing order process, from requisition to receipt, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, expenditures, and savings, providing analysis and recommendations to management.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and ethical standards regarding procurement practices.
- Vendor Pool Maintenance: maintain suppliers and vendors in our system.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, such as production, logistics, and finance, to ensure timely and efficient procurement.
- Supplier Evaluation: Regularly evaluate supplier performance, ensuring products are of high quality, delivered on time, and meet contractual agreements.
** What you will bring: **
- Major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
- Studies in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP) and procurement software.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in both German and English; proficiency in Chinese is a plus
- Experience in automations and digitalization
