Job description
In this role you will be responsible for:
Relieving any plant operator or helper at any time as deemed necessary by the Shift Controller or when such operator / helper is not available for any reason whatsoever;
Filling in positions of Primary and Secondary Section Operators, Jig Helper as well as Hydraulic Hammer Operator and Overland Belt Attendant;
Conducting a pre-start inspection and completing the relevant checklist when operating any equipment;
Inspecting the Metal Extraction plant area and reporting any defaults detected;
Cleaning work area during plant operation and stoppages;
Cleaning feed chutes of any blockages;
Assisting in unblocking crushers, pipelines and sumps;
Replacing screen panels when necessary;
Hand picking foreign material from final product; and
Performing any task as set out by the Shift Controller.
About you
Grade 12;
Minimum of 6 (six) months plant experience;
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English;
Proficient in English written language;
Medically fit in terms of OHSAct; and
Knowledge of HSEC Systems.
