Job description
The Entry-Level Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist is responsible for entering, maintaining and updating patient health information into the electronic health records (EHR). The HIM Specialists will scan in documents, manipulate current data, edit existing information, or proofread new data entered into the database to ensure it is accurate, at times gathering information from a Health Information Exchange (HIE).
Supports GLBHC sites in providing a team-based approach to care in the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). Participates in activities related to Quality Improvement (QI).
