Summary: The Workshop Technician is a vital role within the maintenance and operations team, responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe functioning of workshop equipment, tools, and systems. • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on workshop machinery and tools.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to restore equipment functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and equipment performance.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure all work complies with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to implement equipment upgrades and improvements.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring timely replenishment and proper storage.
• Assist in the setup and calibration of workshop equipment for production and testing purposes.
• Support the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certification in mechanical or electrical maintenance is highly preferred. - 1–3 years of hands-on experience in workshop maintenance, industrial equipment repair, or a related technical field.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic welding/machining techniques.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance principles and maintenance management systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to work in a workshop environment, including lifting heavy components and working in confined spaces.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and the ability to work safely around moving machinery.
• Basic computer literacy for logging maintenance data and using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools.
