• Locums Coverage Period: Apr 30, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: 7a-7p, 2p-12a, 7p-7a Shifts Per Week: Number of Positions: 1 Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 79 patients per day Case Mix: Emergency Medicine Rounding: Phone Consults: FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 10 ED beds Trauma Level: N/A EMR System: Ochsner EPIC Specialty Backup Available: Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, Urology, Gastroenterology, ICU, Ortho, Psych, Radiology & Diagnostic Imaging, General Surgery (on call) Support Staff Available: PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 30-60 days Temporary Privileges Available: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine; if not ABEM, ACLS, ATLS, PALS required Licenses: DEA / CDS: Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS required (if not ABEM board certified) Experience: Residency trained in specialty required Other Qualifications: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in the ED. Work a combination of day and night shifts as scheduled (7a-7p, 2p-12a, 7p-7a). Collaborate with NP/PA staff to manage patient flow and volume (79 patients per day). Utilize Ochsner EPIC EMR for documentation and order entry. Participate in onboarding orientation, EMR training, and shadow shift.
