Truck Driver II – Position Overview Wilsonart, Dallas, has an immediate opening for a Truck Driver II. This individual will conduct assigned deliveries. Loads and unloads trucks in the assigned department/location. Performs other tasks as required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Loads and unloads materials Drives truck to destinations and returns safely Maintains truck log according to state and federal regulations Prepares and maintains required documentation Performs emergency roadside repairs Positions hazardous material trailer identification Reads maps and plans routes to the load destination Maintains acceptable driving record Assists the needs of the customer Assists in the distribution center as necessary or directed Performs other tasks as required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of Department of Transportation and state regulations and local laws pertaining to vehicle operations Knowledge of truck hauling procedures Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and safe handling procedures Skill in operating lift trucks Ability to understand and follow directions Ability to work independently and as a team MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION High School Graduate or GED Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s license Hazardous material endorsement EXPERIENCE 3+ years 18 wheeler experience No chargeable accidents in three years PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs) Examples: grounds staff and EMS ENVIRONMENT: Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.
