MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operations & Technical Support Ensure all sound and lighting (S&L) equipment is clean, properly maintained, and fully operational Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment, including projectors, microphones, speakers, video conferencing systems, lighting consoles, digital and analog sound mixers, CD players, sound processors, and projection systems Provide live technical support and troubleshooting during events, shows, and meetings Manage sound checks, stage setups, and technical riders for bands, singers, and performers Team Supervision Supervise daily operations of the AV team and ensure tasks are completed efficiently Assign duties, monitor performance, and prepare weekly shift schedules for the Sound & Lighting sub-department Train AV technicians on proper equipment usage, safety procedures, and maintenance standards Event & Entertainment Coordination Work closely with event organizers, Entertainment, and Recreation teams to understand technical requirements Plan and coordinate AV setups for events, meetings, and evening shows Ensure AV delivery aligns with show concepts, timings, and quality standards Equipment & Inventory Management Take full responsibility for Sound & Lighting equipment Maintain accurate inventory records and maintenance schedules Manage truss construction, DMX addressing, lighting desks, splitters, wireless microphone frequencies, and show programming Administration & Compliance Prepare and manage the AV department budget Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and operations Develop, implement, and enforce AV department policies and procedures Stay updated with new AV technologies and introduce improvements where applicable Education: Diploma or Certificate in Electrical, Audio-Visual, or related technical field Experience: Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar AV supervisory or senior technician role Language: Good communication skills in English Sincerity & Transparency Act with professionalism, integrity, and accountability Use sound judgment in challenging situations Maintain confidentiality and conduct business fairly Reliability & Loyalty Deliver on commitments and work effectively both independently and as part of a team Maintain a positive, approachable attitude toward guests and colleagues Support teamwork across all departments Excellence in Hospitality Commit to high service quality and strong operational performance Take ownership of technical delivery and event success Follow Rixos Policies & Procedures at all times Quality Management & Innovation Continuously seek improvement and innovation Avoid complacency and aim to exceed expectations Provide constructive feedback and support team development What We’re Looking For A proactive leader with strong integrity and professionalism Someone who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment A team player who values collaboration and guest satisfaction A professional committed to continuous improvement and service excellence Benefits: Competitive salary and performance-based incentives Accommodation and meals provided Opportunities for professional growth within the Rixos and Accor network Access to world-class resort amenities Rixos Phu Quoc is committed to diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from all qualified candidates.
