This position is responsible for Meta factory implementation and operation as well as smart automation solution in the region. The role contributes to advancing Manufacturing Business Digitalization, Cybersecurity, Smart Automation, and Meta Factory technologies.
What You Will Do
Digitalization & Technology Leadership Lead process digitalization initiatives and promote strategic process‑management technologies. Implement, operate and maintain MES, ERP, and Traceability systems to meet evolving production requirements. Contribute to the Technology Roadmap for Digitalization and Business System Standards.
Support the introduction and operation of Meta Factory technologies. Participate in Automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives from an MES perspective. Support the development of new system‑level and application‑level technologies. MES Management Ensure stable and continuous MES services aligned with the global Digital Manufacturing strategy.
Oversee the design, maintenance, and development of MES methodologies and solutions. Lead and develop the regional MES team. Ensure system monitoring and compliance with standardized production processes. Industrial IoT Management Connecting IoT devices and sensors to the network (PLC, gateways, ensuring reliable IT–OT communication).
Collecting and transmitting data from machines and sensors (e.g. OPC UA, MQTT, edge or cloud platforms). Monitoring and alert management (equipment status, communication failures, overheating, anomalies). Validating IoT infrastructure stability (gateway load, tag volume, performance testing before SOP). Managing security and access (certificates, VLANs, authentication, IT/OT segregation).
Business Process Digitalization Maintain and improve ERP master data, traceability, backflushing, security key handling (Harman Coding, KMS), customer data provisioning, and factory BOM management. Project & Stakeholder Management Manage local system implementation and enhancement projects, coordinating internal and external resources.
Ensure timely delivery of project objectives, including budget and quality requirements. Support the introduction of new technologies and processes, ensuring global alignment. Smart Automation Drive Smart Automation initiatives to enhance production efficiency, quality and flexibility (automated equipment, robots/cobots, AMR’s, vision systems, and IoT devices).
Lead local/regional Smart Automation projects, ensuring compliance with safety, cybersecurity, and operational standards. Collaborate with AME engineering, digitalization and production teams. Support intelligent automation solutions such as automated material handling, digital work instructions, and real‑time process control.
Evaluate and introduce new automation technologies aligned with global Digital Manufacturing strategy. People & Financial Responsibilities Provide staff training and ensure proper documentation. Manage expense and CAPEX budgeting for digitalization projects. Oversee the maintenance of systems and data‑related infrastructure supporting stand.

What You Need to Be Successful Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Automation or a related field. 5-8 years of experience in Digital Manufacturing, MES, Smart Factory or Industry 4.0 environments, including leadership responsibilities. Strong knowledge of MES, ERP, Traceability systems, and manufacturing process digitalization.
Experience with Industrial IoT technologies, IT/OT integration and communication protocols such as OPC UA and MQTT. Proven track record in leading digital transformation, automation and Smart Factory projects in a manufacturing environment. Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles within industrial and manufacturing systems.
Strong project management, stakeholder management and budget (CAPEX/OPEX) management skills. Fluent English communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a global and cross-functional environment.
