Job description

Senior Manager, Launch, Global Value Stream (US)

About the Role: What's in the Box

The Senior Manager, Launch is a critical, hands-on leadership role responsible for the successful execution of new facility construction, building launches, major hardware installations, expansions, and decommissioning projects across our North American network.

This is a physical operations and construction-focused role — not a software engineering position. You will lead complex site-based projects from planning and construction through operational readiness and handover, ensuring facilities, equipment, infrastructure, and teams are ready to operate safely and efficiently on Day 1.

You will serve as the key launch leader, coordinating internal teams, contractors, vendors, engineers, facilities partners, and operational stakeholders to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to HelloFresh standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in construction project management, facility launches, industrial environments, warehouse/distribution center builds, equipment installation, or large-scale capital projects, combined with the leadership skills to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

Lead end-to-end facility launches across North America, including new construction, expansions, major renovations, equipment installations, and facility decommissioning.

Own the physical launch plan and project timeline, from initial planning and site readiness through construction, installation, commissioning, operational readiness, and final handover.

Partner closely with Construction, Facilities, Engineering, Operations, Safety, Quality, Procurement, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Manage relationships with general contractors, construction partners, equipment vendors, consultants, and other external partners.

Coordinate the installation and commissioning of material handling equipment, production equipment, automation, refrigeration, utilities, racking, conveyor systems, and other facility infrastructure as applicable.

Establish and manage project milestones, critical paths, dependencies, risks, budgets, and contingency plans.

Conduct regular site visits and construction/launch meetings to monitor progress, identify risks, and drive resolution of issues.

Ensure facilities meet required safety, food safety, quality, regulatory, operational, and company standards prior to opening.

Develop and execute operational readiness plans, ensuring equipment, processes, staffing, training, documentation, and facility infrastructure are ready for Day 1.

Lead cross-functional launch meetings and provide clear, data-driven updates to senior leadership.

Identify potential launch risks early and develop mitigation strategies to protect timeline, budget, safety, and operational performance.

Drive post-launch stabilization, ensuring issues are resolved and ownership is successfully transitioned to the Operations and Facilities teams.

Develop and continuously improve standardized launch processes, playbooks, tools, and best practices that can be replicated across future sites.

Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining a relentless focus on safety, quality, schedule, cost, and operational readiness.

What You’ll Bring

8+ years of experience in construction project management, facility development, industrial operations, engineering, capital projects, or a closely related field.

Demonstrated experience leading large-scale facility construction, warehouse/distribution center launches, manufacturing facility launches, or complex equipment installation projects.

Strong understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, contractor management, site readiness, commissioning, and operational handover.

Experience managing general contractors, vendors, consultants, and multiple external partners.

Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects with significant budgets, timelines, and operational impact.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including critical path management, risk mitigation, budgeting, change management, and stakeholder management.

Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, fulfillment, distribution, food production, or other physical operating environments strongly preferred.

Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.

Comfortable working in active construction and operational environments and traveling extensively to project sites across North America.

Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

Data-driven problem solver with a strong bias toward action and execution.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred.

What We Offer

The opportunity to lead high-visibility, large-scale facility launches across North America.

A highly collaborative, cross-functional environment with significant ownership and autonomy.

The opportunity to build and scale standardized launch processes across a rapidly growing network.

A role with direct impact on the successful expansion and evolution of our physical operations network.

Location & Travel

This role is based in the United States and requires significant travel to construction and operational sites across North America. The successful candidate should be comfortable spending substantial time on-site throughout the construction and launch lifecycle. 50-75% Travel Required
