SSA - Surgical Services Assistant - Outpatient Surgery Center

• Edmond, Oklahoma Shift: Full Time, 40 hours/week Overview: Under direct supervision completes tasks, according to skill level, to assist surgery personnel in providing nursing care and surgical services to patients in the operating room area.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred Education: Successful completion of Medical Terminology Course. Preferred Experience: Previous Nurse aide and/or phlebotomy experience in acute care setting. Certifications: BLS certified. Required certification must be current before assigned to care for patients independently.

Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties. Why Mercy?
