How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Now is an exciting time to be part of Delta's Reservations Technology and Innovation team as we redefine customer and employee experiences by setting new technology standards for thousands of Reservations and Care employees. We are seeking a Product Owner Specialist to support product development and improvements in our primary Sales and Service digital platforms for our Reservations specialists.
Responsibilities(not comprehensive): + Provide leadership and direction to Analysts in reviewing,communicating, and translating business needs for both technical andnon-technical audiences and stakeholders + Direct the work of squad/pods within Information Technologyto prioritize the sprint backlog, balancing requirements of businessstakeholders + Directly work with internal and external design resources tocreate UX/UI experiences to support new product functionality for bothinformational and transactional customer needs + Collaborate with other Product Owners, Product Managers, andstakeholders to refine features and stories and accept completed stories,ensuring they meet all predefined criteria + Coordinate with other Product Owners across the organizationto align cross-squad efforts and maintain coherence in product development + Translate product development goals into requirementsincluding features user stories, and acceptance test criteria + Attend regular ceremonies with the Information Technologyteam including backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, sprintreview/demos, and retrospectives + Identify and communicate opportunities to increase revenue,customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and operational efficiency + Provide regular status reports to key stakeholders,sponsors, project managers, and others involved in the project + Play an integral role in engagement, communication, changemanagement, feedback loops, and overall leadership visibility across the system + Develop both strategic and tactical plans that create asafety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and wellbeing Additional Responsibilities: + Take ownership of writing user stories and ensure theyclearly convey the required functionality to the IT development teams + Actively participate in all squad ceremonies, includingsprint demos, planning, and retrospectives + Provide continuous feedback during sprint demos and leaddiscussions to ensure effective iterations of product features + Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders toreview product progress and outcomes + Work closely with stakeholders and Product Managers tocontribute to the overarching product vision and strategy with data-backedideation and iterative solutioning + Champion agile methodologies within the squad, promotingbest practices and continuous improvement + Utilize tools like Agility and Aha!
for effective projectmanagement and ensure data hygiene to track progress accurately What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) + Agile Product Management training and experience + Proven experience as a Product Owner (or similar role), in adynamic agile environment + Demonstrated initiative and ability to manage multiplepriorities + Proficiency in written and oral communications and abilityto produce concise, relevant, documents and presentations + Curious mindset, willing to ask “why” until root causes ofuse cases are identified + Must be performing satisfactorily in present position + Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self,others, and personal data + Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles + Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high schoolequivalency + Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work inthe United States What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications) + Strong understanding of agile practices and principles, witha certification in Agile methodology preferred + Experience with internal and external facing channels + Experience with digital.
