Agency: Omnicom Media Job Function: Media Job Subfunction: Media Planning and Buying Job Description: Leading advertising media agency seeks talented Associate Director for our award-winning gaming specialty team. Our group develops and implements creative marketing strategies to help our Fortune 100 clients navigate the gaming space and make an impact with the audience.
We take advertising to the next level by developing custom solutions and activating creative ideas to reach consumers in innovative ways. The ideal candidate loves and plays a variety of games, has deep knowledge of the videogame industry but also a genuine curiosity for new technologies and gaming platforms from core to casual.
Candidates must have the ability to translate the creative “language” of gaming focused entertainment into marketing programs Required understanding of gaming industry overall, from game genres to platforms, game influencers and esports Required experience working with game publishers and/or game platform from in-game to retail programs and even activations Understanding of Twitch, YT, Discord and other game streaming, VOD and social platforms as media and content distribution channels Overall understanding of the gaming audiences from core to casual Media experience is a plus Must be a self-starter with a strong ability to embrace an entrepreneurial spirit in the context of a corporate environment Should be able to demonstrate experience with project management – we don’t want someone who is just about making the trains run on time but the trains do have to run on time.
The right candidate will need to have a mix of creative energy and the discipline to see highly customized projects to completion while managing several campaigns and multiple clients Must have good writing and presentation skills Ability to work with multiple teams and partners 4+ years-experience with gaming programs preferred Powerpoint, Excel and Word required Adobe Photoshop skills are a plus
$70,000-$125,000 Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
