Job description
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and related frameworks. Build scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices. Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features. Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Implement and manage integrations with third-party services and internal systems. Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production and staging environments. Participate in system architecture planning and technical decision-making.
Ensure best practices in security, performance, and DevOps workflows.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in backend development with strong expertise in Node.js. Deep understanding of asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, and RESTful APIs. Hands-on experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis).
Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus). Strong understanding of messaging queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.) Solid experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in SaaS or telecommunications/VoIP environments. Knowledge of Typescript. Familiarity with WebSockets, real-time features, or event streaming. Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.).
