Join a major digital transformation programme within an independent Belgian federal organisation responsible for assessing international protection requests. As a hands-on Expert Test Engineer, you will play a key role in the e. Dossier modernisation programme, designing and implementing automated testing strategies for a cloud-native, microservices-based platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute test strategies for cloud-native applications, APIs, and microservices. Develop and maintain automated functional, integration, API, performance, and security tests. Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Validate system quality through end-to-end, regression, and performance testing.
Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver secure, high-quality software and continuously improve testing practices.
Requirements
10+ years of hands-on experience as a Test Engineer. Strong experience with cloud-native testing (preferably Azure), test automation, API testing (Bruno), UI testing (Cypress), performance testing (JMeter/Gatling), and observability tools (Grafana). Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, Bash/Power. Shell, TDD, CI/CD, contract testing, security testing, and NoSQL databases.
Higher education degree in Computer Science or a related field (EU-recognised). Fluent English and very good Dutch or French. Willingness to work 3 days per week on-site in Brussels (Brussels-South/Midi).
