Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead Agile delivery practices across cross-functional teams, enabling the successful execution of strategic business and technology initiatives. This role will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, coaching teams and stakeholders, removing organizational impediments, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a high-performance culture focused on value delivery.
The Senior Scrum Master acts as a servant leader, and change agent, helping teams mature their Agile capabilities while ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise delivery standards. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience leading Agile teams in complex environments, managing dependencies across multiple workstreams, and partnering with Product Owners, Engineering Leaders, Architects, and Business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Leadership & Facilitation Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams delivering business and technology solutions. Facilitate and lead Agile ceremonies, including: Sprint Planning Daily Stand-Ups Sprint Reviews Sprint Retrospectives Backlog Refinement Sessions Ensure Scrum principles, Agile values and team agreements are understood and consistently applied.
Create an environment that promotes transparency, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Delivery Management Facilitate sprint and release planning activities. Monitor delivery progress, risks, dependencies and team capacity. Ensure work is aligned with business priorities and sprint objectives. Support teams in achieving predictable and sustainable delivery commitments.
Impediment & Risk Management Proactively identify, escalate and remove impediments affecting team performance. Manage risks and dependencies across teams, programs and stakeholders. Facilitate resolution of organizational and cross-functional challenges. Promote transparency in risk management and issue resolution. Metrics & Reporting Track and analyze Agile performance indicators, including: Sprint Velocity Burndown/Burnup Metrics Lead Time Cycle Time Team Predictability Release Readiness Use metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize delivery performance.
Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to leadership teams. Knowledge of Jira or any similar agile management tool Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. 5+ years of experience working in Agile environments. 5+ years of experience serving as Scrum Master for technology and/or business transformation initiatives.
Proven experience facilitating Agile delivery across cross-functional teams. Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban and Lean principles. Demonstrated experience managing complex stakeholder environments. Experience coaching teams and leaders through Agile adoption and maturity journeys.
