The role of a Regulatory Compliance Senior Associate is critical in ensuring that PwC’s adheres to both local and foreign regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities

will include managing the application and renewal of various licenses, preparing and submitting regulatory reports and supporting leadership with compliance-related reporting. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of regulatory frameworks. Timely submissions are essential to maintaining compliance, avoiding legal or financial penalties, and demonstrating our commitment to regulatory integrity to both regulators and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

License Application and Reporting: Prepare and submit licence applications required by local and foreign regulators in a timely and accurate manner . Compile and submit regulatory reports in compliance with applicable requirements , ensuring accuracy and adherence to specified deadlines. Maintain a comprehensive and organised record of all licensing activities and related documentation.

Continuously monitor the firm’s compliance with local and foreign regulat ory obligations. Identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions to strength compliance , including opportunities for automation and process enhancements . License Renewal and Payment Management: Monitor licence expiration dates to ensure timely renewals and associated payments.

Coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to collect the necessary documentation and information required for renewal and payment processes . Proactively identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the renewal process to avoid delays or non-compliance . Regulatory Assessment and Licence Application: Assess new and evolving regulatory requirements for license applications, both local and foreign, based on current and anticipated business needs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the necessity of specific licen c es and initiate the application process where applicable . Stay informed of changes in regulatory requirements and ensure the firm ’s licensing strategy align ed with updated requirements . Leadership Reporting: Support the prepar ation and present ation of compliance reports for leadership review .

Provide leadership with timely and relevant insights based on compliance data and regulatory changes . Qualification and experience: Bachelor ’s d egree in any discipline and/or a professional accounting qualification. Minimum of 3 years ’ experience in licensing, operations, regulatory compliance, legal or a related field.

S trong understanding of relevant laws , regulation s and compliance frameworks. Key skills: Meticulous attention to detail and ability to deliver high standards of accuracy and consistenc y . Proficient in written and verbal communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Strong analytical and problem-solving skill s, with the ability to interpret e regulations and assess their impact on the firm.

Strong organizational and time-management abilities , capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Ability to assess and mitigate risks related to non-compliance. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Capable of work ing independently and collaboratively within a team environment .

Demonstrate discretion and integrity in handl ling sensitive and confidential information. Proficiency in compliance-related software , tool s and systems.
