Key Responsibilities

Design, deliver, and own multi‑location field trials and research programs. Lead variety testing and agronomic evaluations aligned to business and pep+ goals. Analyze, interpret, and report trial data to provide clear recommendations. Manage projects, budgets, timelines, and external research partners. Collaborate with internal teams and communicate scientific insights to diverse stakeholders.

About you

PhD in Agriculture/Plant Physiology/Crop Science (or equivalent) with 5+ years of field research experience and 5+ years in corporate ag/food industries. Strong experience with potatoes (preferred), vegetables/grains/fruits, ideally within food or processing/crisping value chains. Expertise in variety testing, experimental design, field plot techniques, statistical analysis, and working with large datasets.

Proven ability to lead innovative research projects within a structured project management framework and deliver defined outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to translate science for technical and non‑technical audiences, work in global teams, manage vendors, and travel domestically (20–30%).

You will manage Australia/New Zealand variety trialling program and assist the APAC team, contributing to commercial potato variety advancement aligned with trait and germplasm priorities. The role partners closely with breeders to develop, evaluate, and select high‑performing, sustainable varieties using agronomy expertise, project management, and data‑driven research.
