Position Purpose: The Manager of Technology Finance will provide comprehensive financial partnership, strategic direction, and analytical support to the Store Systems & Supply Chain technology leadership teams. In this role, you will serve as a key member of the finance leadership team, responsible for delivering high-impact financial analysis and driving the optimization of a large-scale, mission-critical technology portfolio.
By partnering closely with enterprise leaders, you will ensure technology investments and spend are optimized and directly aligned with OKRs to drive shareholder value. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving
- Works to fully understand business; identify and implement process and organizational improvements. Plans and ensures execution of department objectives. Participates in preparation of the annual budget, reviews monthly expenditures and ensures that budgetary goals are met. Reviews monthly metrics to ensure goals are met. Conduct financial planning for function and make appropriate recommendations. Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams in an efficient manner to effectively perform any financial function and activity; utilizes metrics to track performance and manage workload. Ensures operational processes and procedures are compliant and consist with established policies. Drive key functional financial metrics. Project Management- Develops and supports a strategic alliance with business partners. Participates in cross-functional activities focused on solving business issues and enhancing our competitive advantage. Facilitates cross-functional communication with other areas of the business including but not limited to Finance, Human Resources, Real Estate, Operations, and Information Systems. Direct Manager/Direct Reports: Typically reports to a Director level This position has no direct reports. Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time. Physical Requirements: Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles. Working Conditions: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Experience: 5–10 years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance, Technology Finance, Strategic Planning, or Management Consulting.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field (MBA or CPA is a plus). Strategic Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex, unstructured issues and apply structured frameworks to solve problems while keeping the "big picture" enterprise strategy in mind.
Technology Finance Acumen: Strong familiarity with technology business models (including SaaS capitalization, cloud financial management
- Fin. Ops) and experience evaluating ROI of technology investments. Advanced Analytical Capabilities: Advanced financial modeling skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive-ready presentations. Executive Presence & Influence: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of building trust, influencing, and presenting complex financial narratives to senior technology and business leaders. Ownership & Initiative: A self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and project management skills; comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading strategic initiatives from ideation through execution.
