Job description

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Support Pharmacist to join our a friendly and professional community pharmacy team in Galway. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking for a supportive working environment with a great work-life balance. Applications are welcome from both experienced pharmacists and newly qualified or less experienced pharmacists, as full support will be provided.

About the Role

Part-time position – 3 days per week Primarily weekday shifts with 1 in 3 Saturdays Immediate start available Salary: €36–€45 per hour , negotiable, depending on experience Large, modern, and well-organised dispensary Experienced and supportive pharmacy team Protected lunch and break times No late nights No nursing home commitments Key Responsibilities Safely dispense prescriptions in line with PSI guidelines and best practice.

Provide professional advice and counselling to patients on prescribed and over-the-counter medicines. Deliver excellent patient care and promote the safe and effective use of medicines. Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and the wider pharmacy team. Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the dispensary.

Build and maintain positive relationships with patients and local healthcare professionals. Contribute to maintaining high standards of customer service and pharmacy practice.

About You

Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A patient-focused approach and commitment to delivering high-quality care. A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team. Willingness to learn and develop within a supportive environment.
