GCP Data Engineer

Help design, build and continuously improve the clients online platform. Research, suggest and implement new technology solutions following best practices/standards. Take responsibility for the resiliency and availability of different products. Be a productive member of the team.

Requirements

Build, optimize, and support existing and new data pipelines aligned with the target architecture. Implement and maintain DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure. Design data products as independent deployment units with a focus on security, scalability, observability, and performance.

Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to define data product roadmaps and identify new business opportunities. Work with cross-functional product teams to enable data sharing and integration in a data mesh environment. Drive continuous improvement of data engineering practices and reduce technical debt. Stay current with advancements in data engineering, analytics, and cloud technologies.

Experience with GCP services such as Cloud Run. Experience with large-scale data processing and orchestration frameworks, including Spark, Beam, and Hive. Experience working with data formats such as Avro, Parquet, Iceberg, and Hudi. Experience with DBT for production data transformation workflows. Knowledge of modern data governance and data cataloging practices.

Experience with data visualization tools and collaboration with analytics stakeholders.
