Job description
The IT Systems Engineer is a technical role responsible for the architecture, design, and engineering of Rumpke’s core IT infrastructure which includes Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, virtualization (VMware), enterprise storage (SAN), backup and recovery, cloud services (Azure/AWS), identity and access management (Entra ID), and SQL Server platforms.
The Engineer defines the standards, patterns, and road maps that the Infrastructure team implements and maintains, and serves as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure issues. The role leads infrastructure modernization and automation initiatives, drives the strategic planning for systems, network, and security, and leads the infrastructure work stream for acquisition integrations.
