To lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Management System (QMS) function by ensuring compliance with customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements, driving robust quality systems across plastic injection moulding operations, fostering a zero-defect culture, strengthening process controls, and delivering continuous improvement to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
What you’ll do; Roles & Responsibilities Develop and implement plant-wide quality strategies aligned with business objectives. Maintain and continuously improve QMS in line with ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 requirements. Lead APQP activities for new product development, mould trials, and PPAP/PSW submissions. Ensure effective control of quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, formats, and records.
Drive customer satisfaction through PPM reduction, complaint prevention, and effective CAPA closure. Lead internal, customer, certification, and supplier audits. Monitor and report key quality KPIs including Rejection, Rework, COPQ, Warranty Claims, and FPY. Strengthen supplier quality systems and vendor development programs.
Manage calibration, metrology, and testing systems including CMM, VMS, UTM, Profile Projector, and Impact Testing. Handle customer complaints using 8D methodology and structured root cause analysis. Drive Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and 5S initiatives. Build a strong quality culture through training, coaching, and competency development.
Facilitate Monthly Management Review Meetings (MRM).
Requirements
Qualification Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Production Engineering, or related disciplines. Experience 8–12 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems Minimum 5–7 years in a leadership role. At least 8 years of experience in Plastic Injection Moulding industry.
Experience in customer audits, supplier quality management, and cross-functional team leadership. Technical Skills ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949, Customer Specific Requirements (CSR), ISO 14001, ISO 45001. APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA. GD&T interpretation and engineering drawing reading. 8D, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone Analysis, CAPA.
Injection moulding process knowledge, mould qualification, defect analysis, and material knowledge (PP, ABS, Nylon, POM, PC, HDPE). CMM, VMS, UTM, Profile Projector, Impact Testing, Calibration Systems, and Process Validation. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and 5S. Behavioural Skills Leadership of QA inspectors and QMS team Cross-functional collaboration with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance, and Purchase Customer complaint handling and closure using structured methods Continuous improvement culture building Training and skill development for competency enhancement Strategic thinking and fostering quality awareness Decision-making in audits, approvals, and corrective actions Digital Skills Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations Quality reporting tools for KPI monitoring ERP systems for documentation and audit readiness SAP
