About the Role

As Logistics Manager, you will lead Powerfleet’s inventory and logistics function across two locations in Australia, owning the processes and systems that keep stock accurate, deliveries on time, and operations running efficiently. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will translate business and customer demand into reliable fulfilment—balancing cost, speed, and service quality at scale.

This is a hands-on leadership role that pairs day-to-day operational excellence with longer-term improvement. You will develop a high-performing team grounded in safety and accountability, while partnering across departments on tender processes, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen how the business operates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead inventory and stock control across two locations—owning forecasting, demand planning, and reporting to maintain accurate stock levels, reduce discrepancies, and improve stock turnover.
  • Direct inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery, coordinating freight providers, suppliers, and internal teams to streamline transport and fulfilment.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team across both sites—setting performance goals, providing feedback, and acting as the escalation point for operational and process challenges.
  • Establish and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices that improve efficiency, consistency, and workplace safety.
  • Drive continuous improvement across warehouse layout, workflow, and technology, and contribute to tenders, system upgrades, and cross-functional business improvement projects.
  • Deliver regular performance reporting on inventory accuracy, delivery performance, and operational efficiency, and lead root-cause investigations to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

Required (Education & Experience)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, fulfilment, or warehouse management, including team leadership.
  • Demonstrated success implementing operational processes and developing SOPs.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations and warehouse safety best practices. Preferred
  • Project management experience in system implementations or process re-engineering.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, reconciliations).
  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and analytics tools. Skills & Competencies
  • Team leadership and people development
  • Cross-functional collaboration and clear communication
  • Customer-focused, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Powerfleet is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
