Data Scientist As a Data Scientist at Samsung Electronics, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact business value through advanced data science, machine learning, and analytics. Working within the Corporate Marketing organization, you will translate complex business challenges into innovative data-driven solutions that improve marketing performance and business decision-making.
In this role, you will focus primarily on hands-on data science while contributing to the technical roadmap and future direction of Samsung's data science landscape.
Your responsibilities
Develop high-performance data science and machine learning models that improve marketing campaign performance and drive revenue. Collect, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources using GCP and Azure, aligned with business requirements and technical possibilities. Identify customer segments and support personalized marketing communication through precision targeting.
Contribute to the strategy and roadmap for audience segmentation and personalization across .com/app, CRM, and digital media. Improve the performance of .com/app, CRM, and digital media by designing and executing A/B and multivariate tests, as well as implementing machine learning algorithms. Support simulation and data visualization initiatives that generate valuable business insights.
Identify new business opportunities through advanced analytics and machine learning methodologies. Mentor fellow Data Scientists and Analytical Engineers by providing technical guidance and conducting peer reviews to maintain high-quality standards. Your team You will join the central Data Marketing team within Samsung Electronics' Corporate Marketing organization in Schiphol, the Netherlands.
The team delivers marketing analytics solutions alongside consumer, market, and business insights. Within the Advanced Analytics team, you will work closely with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and colleagues from the Data Engineering & BI and AI teams to develop innovative, data-driven marketing solutions.
Your profile
A Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Quantitative Marketing, or a related field. Strong expertise in statistical modelling, Machine Learning, and Data Science. Excellent knowledge of SQL/Big. Query and Python for data processing and data mining. Experience with data engineering, APIs, cloud platforms such as GCP and/or Azure, and Databricks.
Strong communication, presentation, networking, and organizational skills. Professional proficiency in English.
Preferred qualifications
Experience building automated ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes. Experience with marketing technology platforms such as Adobe Campaign, Adobe Experience Platform, and Google Marketing Platform. Interested in this opportunity? Please apply and we will be in touch with you shortly.
