Agency: Critical Mass Job Function: Strategy and Planning Job Subfunction: Account Planning and Brand Planning Job Description: As a Senior Strategist at CM, you'll serve as a strategic orchestrator bringing together insights, creativity, and channel expertise into cohesive, omni-channel, high-impact campaigns and digital experiences.
You're the connective tissue between our creative partners, media team, CRM specialists, and web strategists—translating big-picture brand vision into integrated 360-degree plans that drive real results. You'll see the direct impact of your work, and you will be a strategic thought partner with real influence. You Will: Partner with Media to surface insights from audience targets including channels/cultural intersection points Develop integrated communications strategies across creative, media, CRM, and web, ensuring consistent mid- to lower-funnel messaging recommendations Lead audience insights work and inspire creative teams —collaborating with media and research to identify emerging insights and validate strategic direction using AI tools Review campaign analytics and performance data to make data-informed optimization recommendationsas a strategy partner to marketing science Partner with Media in evaluating business and media reporting to inform national and regional paid media efforts Partner with web strategy to ensure seamless user journeys and conversion-optimized experiences Drive proactive thinking—identifying opportunities, proposing fresh approaches, and executing with autonomy Build client partnerships and demonstrate the value of integrated strategic planning You Have: 5–8 years in communications planning, integrated campaign strategy, or related experience (agency or brand) Proven expertise in messaging frameworks, channel strategy, and multi-touchpoint campaign planning Strong media collaboration experience and ability to align strategy with channel performance and audience insights Solid analytics literacy—you read tracking reports, understand KPIs, and translate data into actionable recommendations Self-starting mentality with comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to communicate complex strategy to creative, technical, and business audiences Ability to balance qualitative insights with quantitative rigor, presenting findings in compelling, presentation-ready formats Bonus if you have: Experience on Integrated Agency Teams (IAT) or similar cross-functional structures Daily hands-on experience with AI tools Brand strategy or messaging development experience Experience marketing luxury/lifestyle brands ** Background with automotive is a big plus
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
